Do it like a local: Anat Tal

Anat Tal is a fashion consultant and personal stylist who was born and raised in Tel Aviv. She was one of the founders of Shoplifters, a business that produced conceptual events within the fashion, art, and design world, which led to her current position in the fashion industry. Anat is someone who lives and breathes aesthetics, and every aspect of her life reflects this truth.

Anat has lived in center of Tel Aviv for the last 20 years because she feels it’s the perfect mixture of city life with the proximity and serenity from the sea. As a mother, Anat believes it’s important for children to develop street smarts, but also be able to tap into a peaceful and harmonic state of mind. Anat thinks that Tel Aviv has the best food in the world because of the authentic melting pot of its people.

  • Shop for Clothes at Boutique 77

Being in the fashion world, having access to the best garments in the city is crucial. When Anat likes to shop for herself, Boutique 77 is the place she enjoys most. What’s different about Boutique 77 than other stores is that “it provides the style of Paris but in Tel Aviv.”

However, Anat doesn’t discount the incredible eclectic collection that the Jaffa Flea Market provides. “I love finding special design pieces to take home,” and there really are certain things you can only find at the Jaffa Flea Market.

  • Discover the Hidden Gem: Sunset at Fortuna Del Mar

One of the biggest pleasures of being in Tel Aviv is the ability to enjoy the sunset over the Mediterranean Sea. But, Anat likes to watch it from her personal secret spot that is a local treasure. Anat prefers to take in the stunning sunset at “Fortuna del Mar in the Tel Aviv Marina with an Aperol Spritz in hand.”

  • Enjoy a Hearty Dinner at M25

In an alley just off from the Carmel Market lays M25, a restaurant that is a true meat lover’s dream. When Anat craves a really satisfying meal, M25 is at the top of her list. Not only is the food high quality and delicious, but Anat also says you can’t find another restaurant like M25 because “it has the most authentic vibe in Tel Aviv.”

  • Drinks at Port Said

Tucked away off Allenby Street is Port Said, a lively, bustling bar and restaurant, with incredible energy and a great DJ playing all genres of music. Anat loves to end her day and catch up with her friends.  For Anat, there’s nothing better than “drinking beer with friends on a bar stool at Port Said,” and there’s really no other place like it in the city.
